· Not knowing if a person can deal with the challenges and complexities of a spesific context of work, puts
companies at risk. It is therefore essential for business effectiveness and success.
· The WCIÔ is a process that focuses on people's insight in dealing with context.
· It also assists in identifying the range of work contexts an individual will be comfortable with at any given
time in his/her career as well as the age a person will start making a transition to a different contextual
level of work. · People’s insight insight in dealing with different contexts matures at different rates over time. Certain
people may mature sooner and at a less complex context than others. An organization should see
people maturing earlier as an opportunity to benefit from the richness and continuous growth in richness
of skills, knowledge and experience this person brings to the work environment. These people
potentially are the backbone of continuity in the organization. · It also needs to be understood that training will not increase, or speed up, the level of context a person
can deal with. Training, further exposure and opportunity will facilitate the maximization of the
contextual value a person can potentially generate at a given point in time. Not receiving the necessary
training, development, exposure and some aspects of personality and values, may prevent the full
realization of depth of one’s contextual insight.
